Rice ki recipe
Here’s a simple recipe to make plain boiled rice:
Ingredients:
1 cup rice (preferably basmati or any variety of your choice)
2 cups water
A pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions:
1. Rinse the Rice Rinse the rice under cold water to remove excess starch. This helps in making the rice less sticky.
2. Boil Water In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
3. Add Rice Once the water is boiling, add the rinsed rice and a pinch of salt (optional).
4. Cook Rice Lower the heat to a simmer. Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid. Let the rice cook for about 15-20 minutes (do not open the lid while cooking).
5. Check for Doneness After 15-20 minutes, check if the rice has absorbed all the water and is soft. If it’s done, turn off the heat and let the rice sit covered for 5 more minutes.
6. Fluff and Serve Gently fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
Tips
- You can adjust the amount of water depending on how soft or firm you prefer your rice.
Add a small amount of ghee or butter at the end for extra flavor.
Enjoy your perfectly cooked rice!
